Spicy Garlic Fish

This one is probably my best kept secret. I can have this meal from zero to on the table in ten minutes flat and it is delicious and nutritious! It’s a fave weeknight meal because it takes almost zero effort and it’s another great way to use up any salad ingredients you may have laying around!

Spicy Garlic Fish

500g white fish (basa or flathead work perfectly)
1 cup flour
Smoked Paprika, Ground Chilli, Garlic and Cayenne Pepper to taste

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl (don’t skimp on the spices)

Slice the fish into smallish fillet (or nuggets are a great option for littlies!)

Coat the fish thoroughly in the flour mixture and pan fry them in good quality olive oil over a medium heat. Depending on the size of your fillets this will take apx 3-4 minutes each side

While the fish is cooking, throw a salad together with whatever you have in the fridge! Some nice lettuce, watercress and cucumber works a treat. Dress it with olive oil and a good squeeze of lemon

Serve with tartare sauce (well done if it’s homemade, otherwise the Masterfoods one is pretty awesome) and a lemon wedge.
