Easy Pear Tart
1 sheet puff pastry
3 pears (finely sliced lengthwise)
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp brown sugar
Vanilla ice cream to serve!
Preheat oven to 200°C
Lay your puff pastry sheet on a parchment lined baking sheet. Score (cut a line) along the inside of the edge of the dough, about 2cm in from the outside
Mix together the melted butter, cinnamon and brown sugar
Using a pastry brush, brush the butter mixture over the entire sheet of puff pastry
Lay your pear slices on the pastry sheet, slightly overlapping as you go, staying inside your scored line.
Pour the remaining butter mixture over the pears and brush to cover
Bake for 15-18 minutes or until puff pastry is fully cooked and browned
Remove from oven and cut with pizza cutter into squares
Serve with ice cream for an extra special treat!
