Easy Basil Pesto

Who doesn’t love being able to say they made their own pesto??


Easy Basil Pesto:


45g pine nuts

1 ½ cups fresh (home grown!!) basil leaves

2 small garlic cloves

60g shredded parmesan

5 tbsp olive oil




Preheat oven to 180°C .  Spread the pine nuts over a baking tray.  Bake for five minutes or until golden brown.  Remove from oven and set aside to cool.


Place the pine nuts, basil, garlic and parmesan in your food processor and pulse until finely chopped.  With the motor running, gradually add the oil in a thin stream until well combined.
